Szechuan, Mandarin, Korean, Thai, and references to Indian food?
That's usually a red flag for me...
I mean, pick one.
Put your best food foot forward and hit me with your best shot, right in the mouth!
So when the 9 dragons menu offers all those styles of cuisine meer pages away from one another... I give pause.
Well, it's a damn deep menu...
So I had to take a pause to get through it all.
But, anyway...
I decided on a straight forward order...
Egg rolls, hot and sour soup, and a yummy Szechuan dish called chili chicken.
Well...
The soup was full of amazing fresh mushroomy pork flavor... Great.
The egg rolls (more like Thai style) were crispy cabbagey peppery cylinder heaven chunks.
And the chili chicken...
The chili chicken...
The...
Yowsy.
Delicious peppercorn prickly ash pickled onion jalepeno meat fun.
I say again, meat fun!
I wasn't sure... At first.
But now I clearly understand.
If you've got 9 dragons in your back pocket, why not use em all.
It's good y'all.
I'm coming back to try more.
Meet me there. -

This is our go-to place for Chinese food. They're quick, the food is delicious and you get good portions.
The mapo tofu is killer spicy, but oh so good! (Wish they had steamed breads, goes really well with mapo tofu and helps with the heat.) Amazing chicken is always part of our order. Mongolian beef is a bit onion heavy, but really tasty.
Hopefully I will keep exploring the menu, but we always look forward to eating our usual dishes that we end up ordering the same stuff over and over! -

I've saw this place a few times in passing but never stopped but today after hearing it was good I decided to give it a try. When I entered I was greeted by a friendly smiling face and seated right away. I love dumpling so I started with a appetizer dumplings and they were SO DELICIOUS !! Then I got one of the lunch specials, they all come with fried rice for $6.99 and $8.25 with eggroll. I chose the Singapore chicken and went for the eggroll. Then I was sad because they only have those packets of hot mustard and duck sauce, yucky! The fried rice was tasty and the sauce for the Singapore chicken was fantastic but the chicken was fried to crispy. Next time and yes there will be a next time, I'm getting one of the noodle dishes after all this is a noodle house and the dumplings were so scrumptious !
If they'd make fresh hot mustard and my chicken wouldn't of been so crispy I'd be giving this place 5 stars -

Ma pa tofu had a nice spice kick to it
However, the Veggie egg rolls had no real substance -

Nine Dragon is a simple looking Asian restaurant. There is a lot of different types of food on the menu from a lot of different countries. The service at this location was decent, but it is not the best.
I have been to Nine Dragon only a few times in a small time frame. I was usually seated within a few minutes and was given a menu to order from. When we would sit down, we usually had to wait a significant amount of time to have the waitress stop by for our drinks and for our orders. The waitress was kind and took our orders quickly. The only issue is that the waitress did not stop by the table to refill our waters and drinks. I would usually finish my drink and have to wait to drink more at home. For those few reasons, I had to take off one star from this establishment.
The food that I ordered were pretty good. The fried rice with chicken was delicious and had a great umami taste to it. This taste usually comes from the process of cooking with a wok which is my favorite flavor enhancer when it comes to fried rice. The fried rice was also around $11 which is a good price. However, the Ma-Po Tofu was bland and did not mix well. The sauce was pretty flavorful, but the tofu itself was not. The price of the Ma-Po Tofu was around $9 which is worth it since the bowl of rice was a little bit bigger than a scoop of rice. The takoyaki or octopus balls were around $5 and had a decent taste to them. The octopus really came out in them. However, the balls had a lot of batter in it, and the sauce overwhelmed the rest of the flavor. Although, the sauce was really good. The ramen that I got was around $9. It had roasted pork in it, and the overall taste of the ramen was excellent. I highly recommend the ramen at this place. I was told that the duck was good. However, I have not had the roasted duck ramen yet which was recommended to me by a few friends. Overall, the flavor of this restaurant was good enough to not deduct one star from.
